Product Details

The RM3100 magnetic sensor kit consists of:

  • 2 × X/Y-axis magnetic sensors (Sen-XY-f, 13104)
  • 1 × Z-axis magnetic sensor (Sen-Z-f, 13101)
  • 1 × ASIC controller (MagI2C)

RM3100 delivers outstanding performance—approximately 10× the resolution of Hall sensors and less than 1/20 the noise. This ensures excellent accuracy for heading and orientation measurement.

Based on PNI’s patented magneto-inductive sensing technology, RM3100 provides ultra-low noise, high resolution, and high repeatability even in challenging environments. It also features a high sampling rate, no hysteresis, and does not require temperature calibration.

In real-world geomagnetic measurement, nearby components (batteries, housings, motors) can distort the local magnetic field. Temporary magnetic disturbances—such as furniture, passing vehicles, smartphones, and computers—can also affect heading accuracy. RM3100 is designed to identify and distinguish environmental noise/interference from true magnetic changes, reducing measurement deviation and enabling more reliable direction judgment.
