Description
SCH16T Series 6DoF MEMS IMU (SCH16T-K01 / K10 / K20) — Industrial-Grade SafeSPI IMU Sensor
The SCH16T series provides industry-leading performance and safety in a single-package 6DoF MEMS IMU, designed for harsh industrial environments. The series includes three models:
- SCH16T-K01 – versatile, high-performance general-purpose IMU
- SCH16T-K10 – extended gyroscope measurement range for high rotation rate applications
- SCH16T-K20 – newest version with significantly improved gyro & accelerometer performance (lowest noise and drift)
Product Details
SCH16T products are built on a market-proven, stable MEMS platform and feature advanced MEMS gyroscopes. The wide-range accelerometers in SCH16T-K01 and SCH16T-K10 deliver automotive-validated performance even in harsh conditions.
SCH16T-K20 integrates a new accelerometer MEMS design that reduces temperature bias drift and cuts noise density by half compared with K01/K10. The new MEMS sensor is based on the proven dual differential measurement principle used in SCA3400 and earlier SCA103T series sensors. In addition, the K20 gyro calibration is fine-tuned to further minimize temperature-related bias drift versus other versions.
The SCH16T platform is thoroughly validated using test setups aligned with AEC-Q100 Grade 1 temperature class (−40°C to +125°C), ensuring stable operation across a wide temperature range.
All SCH16T series sensors include market-leading self-diagnostics, making them suitable for safety-critical applications. The series is also software- and pin-compatible, enabling easy switching between models within the same product family while reducing development and qualification cost.
